Where are you located?
Aberdeen Venue rests on 101 acres at 4800 Monroe Highway, Statham, Georgia 30666. We are close to the intersection of Highway 53 and Highway 78, about 15 minutes from downtown Athens and about an hour from Atlanta.
Do you have an onsite wedding planner?
As we require all weddings at Aberdeen to have a professional wedding planner, we ask that our guests hire their own planner or day-of coordinator. We have a few preferred wedding planners we work with frequently and will happily suggest if you would like to call on them. Additionally, an Aberdeen employee will attend your event to assist in any way regarding our venue’s facilities.
Do you require a list of vendors for events?
Our vision for Aberdeen is to welcome each bride and groom to plan their special day in a way that suits them best. We welcome you to hire your choice of a wedding planner and/or day-of coordinator, florist, photographer, musicians, caterers, etc. Additionally, we are happy to provide you with a list of exceptional vendors we enjoy working with.
What are your hours of operation?
Events can be scheduled throughout the week on any day. We have to abide by the area’s sound ordinance which requires us to have a “Finish Time” of 10:00 p.m. on weeknights and 11:00 p.m. on weekends. All guests will need to leave the venue by 10:30 on weeknights and 11:30 p.m. on weekends.
The start time of a wedding day is 9:00 am as the venue is yours for the day.
How many guests can you accommodate?
We have multiple outdoor spots for your wedding or other celebrations. Large and small tents may be rented to bring onto the property that will blend in beautifully anywhere on our grounds. We have a 3,500-square-foot open-air pavilion as well as a refurbished barn that has 2,500 square feet.
We currently have 150 Chiavari chairs, 150 white lawn chairs, and we have 15 round tables. Additionally, there are several rental and event companies nearby where our guests may rent additional tables and chairs.
Do you have a bridal suite for the bride and her bridesmaids?
Our main house has been restored with brides in mind. There is a full bath with a soaking tub, a professionally lighted make-up mirror for the bride’s spot, along with other areas for her bridesmaids to enjoy getting dressed and ready together.
- Our groomsmen also have their own place to dress, get ready, and enjoy each other’s company while they prepare for their entrance to the ceremony.
Do you have a kitchen for our caterer?
We have a state-of-the-art catering-prep kitchen with warming ovens, large refrigerators, a large ice machine, a microwave, three ovens, a stovetop range, and a dishwasher.
Do I need an appointment to view the venue?
We do require appointments for tours to ensure our gates and buildings are all unlocked. Tours are typically given Mondays through Fridays between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Are fireworks allowed?
Fireworks are not allowed on any part of the property. We have two fireplaces in our manor, though we do not allow building fires in either of the fireplaces. We do, however, have a designated fire pit for your guests to enjoy sitting around. We happily provide the wood for the fire pit.
